The day that I got failed on CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure exam.

Sup, Guys. After around ~1y studying for CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure, I am back to share my experiences and learned lessons.

Lab setup

I didn't have a critical problem with the setup as well. The keyboard is ok, Monitor x2 size is okay, but it is not so modern which makes me a bit miss the quality of image resolution. The mouse sensitivity is a bit high (for me).

Exam format

Maybe you already know the CCIE practical Exam format. It is broken into two parts: Design and deploy, operate and optimize.

Design is like any other "written" CCNP, CCNA as well. But, more real-world problems are on top of mind such see customer requests available in e-mails.

Deploy, operate and optimize is the practical part. Have to configure Routers, switches, viptela vedges, and SD-Access switches. The workbook looks like a puzzle collection that network makes sense only when you finish all tasks.

In my understanding, I did a nice exam but, a lot of things went weird when I come back after lunch. So, I had to invest much time fixing the underlay network and in the end, forgot to apply important police on SD-WAN (noticed in the Software Defined Infrastructure section on score report).

Lesson learned

  • Don't believe in the lab. Check diffs 3,5,10x times;
  • Take notes to not forget anything;
  • Sleep is better than don't sleep;
  • I am happy with my progress during my study journey
  • It helps me improve my English a lot.

What is next?

So, keeping investing time in labs to keep my hands warm 😅😅 and try again very soon.
